Now if you'd arranged to go the week before folk week you would have had the advantage of a lot of extra folkie folk in town to enliven any evenings when you get time off for good behaviour.
A few years back we booked our flat for 2 weeks, had a seaside holiday with one daughter + grandson, then other daughter & friend came for folk week. All the usual sessions were swelled by people doing the same as us, plus those setting things up for the festival.
