This is one is kind of along the same lines - British musicians wanting to make connections visited the refugee camp in Calais and collaborated on a project with musicians in the camp. I bought the disk, it's wonderful.

The Calais Sessions became an online fundraiser for the refugee camp, and I'm sure good platform for the musicians involved. I don't know if anyone received payment, or it was the joy of making music.
