Somehow, our publisher Hal Leonard got 1975 for the publication date of the song, "Singing Through the Hard Times," and that's the date in our Rise Again Songbook. A friend from Nevada City (California) thinks the song is more recent. He remembers Utah saying it was a brand-new song he wrote for the homeless shelter in Nevada City. I found a performance of the song by Utah on a 2003 episode of Prairie Home Companion. Does anyone have access to anything that would give firm information about the publication date?
