Thread Name: Les Paisley, Bounds Green Folk Club
Subject: Les Paisley, Bounds Green Folk Club
Back in the mid 70's , during a semester abroad in London, I became close friends with the late Les Paisley. It was right after my father had died and Les became a second father to me. I wrote a song about him called Drunken Les Paisley and for years afterwards, I would hear from him, the last time in the late 90's.

Here is a picture of him and me doing a Shanty at the Bounds Green Folk club: https://i.imgur.com/LvqKM4o.jpg

I have about an hour of recordings of Les singing (I became a regular and when I needed to go home, a singer named Steve Stevenson recorded a special night and many of the regular performers sang. I still have them on cassette and need to get them digitized, if anyone knows if there is anyone who would like to preserve them, I'd love to hear.

If anyone has any stories or remembrances of Les and that time at Bounds Green, I'd love to hear them .
