Saying that 'twas ever thus and sort of implying that there's no point fighting it is blinkered and defeatist, and that attitude has been allowed to make the innocents, the migrant workers, into scapegoats. It's the FOREIGNERS (the innocents) who were targeted by the leave campaign, not the farmers or the gangers (the criminals). Dunno about you, but I want to live in a country that operates under the rule of law. And the irony of the leave side's constant claiming that the dictatorial EU imposes it laws on us isn't lost on me. We can't even impose our own laws on ourselves.
