I am doing "Nursing homes", Assisted living & Memory Ctr. Entertainment called "SING-A-LONG with Russ". I am an 87 year old Bass Player and singer and I created and entered over 150 songs from the 20's through the 70's all arranged as 2 choruses and they are stored in a laptop where they can be played on request from two songbooks I produced. I am the song leader while my wife handles the computer music choices. I use 2-12" speakers, a wireless Mic & mixer.
I started this program about 8 months ago and have been slowly adding to the schedule as interest grows. At this point I am pleased to be already booking for next year.
There has not been a problem with my canned music because we can vary the tempo, style etc. of the song choices to match the audiences desires. For me, the big day was the first time I got a call back!
Many places book as much as a year ahead so you need to get known.
