It's amazing how you brexiteers can't see any other side of the argument. WE are blocking the talks by refusing the perfectly reasonable request to make the divorce settlement clear before we get to the nuts and bolts of trade talks. It simply has to be done that way round and there is no reason on earth why it shouldn't be, except that this stupid government of ours simply has to be seen to be standing up to Johnny Foreigner at all costs for fear of the backlash from its right-wing back-benchers and the Farrago brigade. Nobody minds being challenged on points of inconsistency but you make that the be-all and end-all, and, pointedly, you do it to your perceived adversaries only, as you've clearly demonstrated today.
