Somebody else can Mudcat Tavern to their heart's content,
and may the Spirit of Christmas Taverns Present grant them their every wish.

They can Tavern it without me this year.
I just want to survive the holidays in one piece.

One week before US Thanksgiving,
the stations on my car radio
started in with Nat King Cole, Gene Autry, Johnny Mathis,
and I have yet to hear Der Bingle but he is probably getting heavy rotation.
Already.

The year-end holidays are more hazardous for some people than for others,
and more so during some years than other years.

This is going to be one of THOSE years for me.
So I'm making my plans to stay safe
and to keep a safe distance from toxic people and circumstances.
