The stubborn willful support of people who don't care about the laws he has broken, about his attitude towards women and minorities, toward immigrants, conveys acceptance of his sense of entitlement to scour the government of support for large swaths of the population. Conveys their sense of superiority over those groups, or that they don't understand they're cutting off their own access to things like health care. Something will eventually get their attention - what a day that will be.
