Dunno really. Part of growing up is learning to roll with the punches. The job of the adults around kids is to be vigilant as to the nature of the bullying. Is it sporadic rough and tumble or is it concerted? Of course it ain't right to take the piss out of someone's ginger hair, but if the victim is really going under ostensibly because of that the chances are that the bullies are exploiting other vulnerabilities. A great ginger guy with a rounded personality could even turn the joshing to his advantage...
