Reins for small children: rarely seen these days, but a really good idea if, like last night, you are doing any form of walk where there are large crowds. We were in Edinburgh's "Christmas at the Botanics" where you walk a pathway round the gardens, dimly, but very prettily lit, hundreds of other people, many with small children, there. It only took our grandson 5 minutes to get lost.

And the full moon was beautiful, Donuel: sandwiched between a sloping roof and a huge fir tree!
