I am confused as I have just discovered an old Tom Paxton (1986) recording of The Last Hobo but when I Googled the lyrics it came up with John Denver as his song in 1997. Further investigation said it was written by songwriter George Allen but the only reference to that name died in 1877. Can anyone clarify who the writer of this song is please.
