Agreed! Dare I suggest that a lot of people like it just because it has a lovely tune! Certainly that's what drew me to it in the first place, when I heard Mary Black's version of it.
The same could be said of the "Ellis island" song which is currently featuring again in the list of threads - of course it has a meaning, but again, a fantastic tune which pulls you in!
