If veteran Mudcatter "Stringsinger" were online lately,
he would have wanted an Obit thread here for Gene Sharp,
whose name he would post to Mudcat threads
when talking of civil disobedience and non-violent uprisings.

Sharp died here in Massachusetts where he had just had his 90th birthday.
Turns out he is an Ohio native.

He is also better known internationally, it appears,
than he is in his own land.
