On a more cheerful note, on Superbowl Sunday, two friends of mine were looking at house that was for sale. One reason they wanted to move was that their apartment is in an unfriendly, conservative, stand-offish neighborhood.

So they went to see the house for sale and saw that a neighbor had set up two lines of scrimmage in the yard - both lines consisting of plastic flamingos. They made an offer that same day.
