Dodi was my dulcimer teacher and friend when I was a young man, living in Chicago in the mid-1970s. She took me to see Howlin' Wolf at Eddie Shaw's Blues Club, and taught me many wonderful things, and shared with me many wonderful things.

I still play the mountain dulcimer and listen to songs she recorded for me during our lessons.

Her renditions of "Bright Morning Star" and "Who'll Rock the Cradle" can bring tears to a man's eyes.
