Well, the people that Mudcatter Gnu calls the Weather Terrorists
are having a field day with this one.

For the northeastern US, the storm that has been named Quinn
is so threatening that the severe weather alerts
have been altered from Winter Storm Watches into Winter Storm Warnings.

As I post, Quinn is moving east of the Dakota states where it has been a blizzard.
The storm is going to grace the Snow Belt that covers the Great Lakes area, west to east, in familiar style. Detroit is going to get it. Then the state of Pennsylvania.

The big uncertainty is what Quinn will do when it arrives at the Atlantic Ocean, and where Quinn will do it. It's a classic "nor'easter" set-up, the forecasters agree, but where will it be snow and where will it be freezing rain (EEWWWW)?

None of Riley's monster high tides (there was a full moon),
but Quinn's combination of snow and wind
threatens more downed trees and power lines . . .
so, HERE WE GO AGAIN.
