i got the Mantels on Kindle.

My eyes are a bit rubbish compared to how they used to be. On kindle you can make the print big, the books don't fall apart and you can get someone to read to you, if you want.

the only thing is - you can't pass a good book onto a friend. but that also means that you can't lose them, and you can take all your library on holiday with you, plus you can read with the lights off.

its just this passing on thing that's a bit of a pisser. take this bloke who wants the scandalous miss Worsley. if we were all still using vhs, we could all do a copy for him. my vhs machine chews up tapes.
