Just a quiet day here. Had the usual Easter dinner, no eggs. Not even chocolate (we finished the chocolates yesterday). No peeps, not fried or microwaved or roasted or raw. Just lots and lots of laundry. And oh yes, I gave treats to the dogs next door twice and the pit bull (brown, Maggie) was quite happy about it.

I did have my renewal class for a Concealed Carry permit yesterday (I don't have to take it, but it reminds me of the responsibilities of owning firearms). Part of it was to shoot 98 (legislature mandated: not 100, not 95, but 98) rounds. The class ran from 8 am to 4:30 pm, most of which was class time. But in the shooting part the targets were only at about 20 feet. So I shot out the bulls-eye, turned in my target and went home, while other students gaped. I have no plans at all to carry a concealed weapon save for my razor-sharp wit. As I said, I take the course for reasons different than most.
