A friend in the audience shouted out "Rubbish!" when I sang the song for the first time. As a result I didn't sing it again for several years. It was only then that I discovered that my friend was referring to the line, 'a night down Boogie Street, never can compete with an evening with the girl that I adore'.
Having been to Boogie Street, he was of a different opinion.
Since resurrecting it, it had become one of my most requested songs.
