My dad has been a musician and a welder all of his life. He has always designed things to be as efficient as possible reducing any work to the least amount of effort in order to be safe and still produce good quality work.

Anyway, when he goes out to entertain, it is difficult for him to turn around and pick instruments from their cases or wherever, so he fired up the welding rig and made himself a lazy-susan type of stand with an instrument hanging hook kind of thing at the top for each instrument. So he's got the whirly-gig kind of upright stand with banjo, fiddle, mando all hanging by their necks, and a microphone coming out of the top of it. It's pretty neat.
