The Tories promised to get rid of the deficit by 2015 and to reduce net migration to the tens of thousands. Cameron promised to trigger Article 50 by June 28 2016 in the event of a leave vote. Just a small point: the "swivel-eyed loons" remark was made by a party aide, much to Cameron's embarrassment. Not so much a case of "the Tories" saying it, more a case of a lack of internal party discipline.
