waaay back in the 90s my colleague sat next to a deaf woman so learned to sign to communicate with her. She became an official signer in our office & as her colleague became a close friend, her children learnt Aslan - Australian sign language too, & it was fun watching her 5-yr old daughter using English & Aslan in the same conversation when she visited the office.

This girl & her older brother spoke 4 languages as their parents were Italian & Greek!
