Subject: RE: Tune Req: Would a singer mind lending their voice?
Oh, hey that's really kind of you, thank you :)

If it helps any: the context for the lyrics is that someone has passed away. The song is from someone who looked up to the departed as a role model, as it wishing them well for whatever lies ahead, and assuring them that they will continue the lessons they were taught.

I suppose I may as well put the lyrics here now for anyone who may be interested.

I think they fit well with the melody of the lead whistle... I hope they do.

Your time has come
You can lay your head down
There's peace around you now
A brand new start is waiting for you
Welcoming you with open arms

The life you led
Has paved the way now
Your footsteps show where the path will lead
Your memory will guide us forward
Your legacy will remain

That you'll be missed; there's no mistaken
But we know you'll be with us still
The times we shared never forgotten
And we will one day see you again

Another day will soon be dawning
Our sorrow fades with the setting sun
And although we're sad that you are leaving
We celebrate the time we had

So fly away on a bright new morning
Spread your wings and soar to the skies
Let softest winds take you on your journey
And we will know that you are home

We do not know what lies in wait around each corner
But we know you'll be by our side
As we follow those who walked before us
We will know that you are home

As we follow those that walked before us
We will know that you are home

Please don't hesitate to let me know if there are any questions. It's the only song (lyrics) I've ever written, so I'm not too sure how it's all supposed to work, but, it feels right.

Thanks again :)
