Freddie, that's absolutely fascinating! I did wonder what Turkey rhubarb might be (we're keen gardeners and grow lots of it, but ours is Norfolk rhubarb!)
I'm sure you're right about anything 'foreign' being attributed to Turkey (and also China or France)
