It's 10 years since I posted my version and only just got round to checking the source. Looked at about 30 versions from books and none of them fit this version. It's possible it's a revival remake. Anyone else any ideas?

This is embarrassing for someone who spends most of his time researching song histories! The Knightshead line is in one of Stan's versions but it's not the shantyman who stands there.
