Here's my attempt at a transcription:

WINDWHISTLE HILL
As recorded by Alison [Frosdick] & Jack [Burnaby] on their album “Adzooks!” (2017)

1. Copper(?) woodlands shiver on Windwhistle Hill.
Nothing is forgotten in that sinister chill
But sounds, wits(?) and patients(?) echo through the mist—
Highwaymen and travelers heading for the west.

CHORUS: The moon's half-hidden and the clouds
Are racing through the misty shrouds.
Tormented cries of women seem to echo all around.
When winds that blow and bend the trees
And cries are carried on the breeze,
Shouts and screams ring out at night; you'll never feel at ease.

2. Waiting in the beech trees hidden from all sight,
Highwaymen and cutthroats shrouded by the night,
Their headquarters a tavern; no strangers welcome there.
Those who dared to enter would never leave their lair.

3. Caves that dot the hillsides, hidden bodies of the slain,
White bones and sightless sockets there lifelessly remain.
The sighing sobs of searching souls linger in the air.
At the haunted hill of Windwhistle, you really must take care.

4. So when at night you're driving to the summit of the hill,
Remember how those highwaymen and robbers found their thrill
A-tapping at your widow and illuming ghostly haze,
The galloping of horses, a murdered traveler's gaze.
