British\English culture won't die anymore the Hellenistic\Greek culture did. It's spread worldwide and adopted everywhere, especially in North America. As my father said, the English didn't bunch-up but spread out.

One thing for sure, nearly every wagon heading west had two volumes on board: a King James Bible and The Works of Shakespeare as sure as the Colt Peacemaker and a Winchester repeating rifle.

So, the gospel was spread across the ocean in English then across the continent to the western shore. I find it amazing. And just as the Britannica ruled the waves, America rules the road...
