Why did Ralph Kramden say, "One of these days, POW!!! Right in the kisser!"? Specifically, why was it necessary for him to specify that the POW!!! would occur one of these days?

There are only two types of days: these days and those days. By definition, those days are in the past and, therefore, no longer accessible for human activity. So, anything that a human may do, whether it's sending Alice Kramden to the moon or making a bologna sandwich, must be done one of thesedays.

Duckdogs, Tralfamadorians, and other higher-dimensional entities may be able to do things one of those days, but Ralph Kramden can't.
