There has already been one death
for the Blind Boys of Alabama vocal group,
founding member George Scott.

Clarence Fountain, another founding member, has now died.

Each of these two men
had to retire for health reasons;
diabetes contributed to both their demises.

Jimmy Carter is now the surviving founding member.
