   By the bonnie milldam o Binorie, O.

2    He courted the elder wi' jewels an' rings,

He's courted the younger wi' a far better things,
    His ain dearest lassie o Binorie, O.

3    "O sister, O sister will ye tak a walk?
       Binorie, O Binorie,
We'll hear a' the blackbirds whistle ower their tune,
   An' see the bonnie miller lad o Binorie, O."

4 They walked up, an' sae did they doon,

Until the elder one dang the younger in,
To droon in the dam o Binorie, O."
