Not the wording  I  had "meself" - I directly quoted Donuel's misquote. Thanks to keberoxu for finding the actual video. What the spokesman said was awkward, but I think that Rachel Maddow was cruel in the way she twisted it.

And by the time Donuel got through with it, it was an outright lie.

So, yeah, yesterday a spokesperson from the State Department said something that came out awkward. It happens to all of us at times.
