nutty, are 'Vocal Zones' those tiny black things that used to be called 'Nigroids' and other things? I used to suck them when I did a lot of choral singing, but had forgotten about them.

They keep the throat lubricated, but the only thing I've found for the 'tightness' that comes with nerves, Kris, is deep, slow breaths- and alcohol of course. :0)
