It's all in print somewhere. It was he who insisted that the first words on the moon were:
"it's some sort of dust I can move it with my feet"
because the immortal lines were said on the last rung of the ladder before Armstrong took the small step/giant leap
and before we get too pedantic, there was a minute's delay while the video was processed in Hollywood, but the audio (no processing) had to be added with delay. And this was indeed a first for the methodology.
And Harlan had no qualms about pedantry, or scientific accuracy.
