One especially for Senofou: on tonight's news, it was reported that the current CO2 shortage, which is already affecting beer, lager cider and fizzy drink supplies during the football World Cup of all times, has now extended to CRUMPETS! CO2 is apparently put inside the packaging of such items to prolong their "freshness", and one major UK baker has had to shut down production of those rubbery spongy things called crumpets (not my favourite, can't you guess?) while there is this shortage. (And I thought the bubbles in the crumpets were created from CO2?)
The inevitable irony is that we're all being told we create far too much CO2, so can't some of it be harvested to put back into the beer and crumpets?
