LH, I spent two glorious weeks in a rural village in Costa Rica in the early '80s, and I'll always remember sitting in the outdoor cafe in the middle of town doin' singarounds with the homefolk. I had enough Spanish to order beer, rum,gin, eggs and chicken, and they had less English, and it didn't matter. I heard some beautifull music, from haunting ballads to ass stompin salsa. Loved it.
