I hate air-con except in the car. I've encountered it mainly in hotels in Europe where I found it difficult to sleep at night for the sound of it working. I got round it eventually by keeping it on during the day while I was out, and switching it off at bedtime.

Our house is reasonably cool at the moment, even though it's around 25c-29c on some days. Shorts, T-shirt and bare feet help!
