Jeri called it correctly, on another thread,
regarding weather in the NE United States,
with the short-term rotation of
thunderstorms and downpours, bringing in cooler drier air
which is quickly replaced by hot muggy humidity,
and back to the storms.

Today is after-the-storm lower-humidity.
Feels better.
