Here's a thing beyond my understanding:
the wind is out of the east,
and east of us is the Atlantic Ocean,
so it's a sea-breeze.

I get that it is cooling.
And ... it's also DRY. Not humid or sticky.

However it works,
it is welcome relief after the humidity and the rain-flooding.
