I was thinking of the Henebry cylinders as well. I have been familiar with the recordings of Padraig O'Neill for a long time. Henebry wrote about him as well in his magnum opus. Powerful singer, and very young at th time of the recording too.

University College Cork did a project on the Henebry cylinders, which I believe they hold, all cylinders used to be online but I can't find the site right now.
