One fully grown moose, correctly butchered and packed, will pretty well fill a normal family-sized chest freezer. But that's a shed-load of very lean, often strongly flavoured meat, and eventually somebody at the table is sure to say, "Mooseburgers? Again?"

With more than one moose tag in the family, I would want to be planning a replay of the feeding of the five thousand.
