Did you ever jot down any social dances? Have you got some dance descriptions from an event long ago sat at home? Chloe Middleton-Metcalfe has just been awarded funding for a six months placement at the VWML in which to collate information on social dances. She is looking forward to hearing from individuals who might have collected social dances during the twentieth century. This project necessarily excludes modern social folk dances with a known author. However, it does include dance-games, reeling, and couple dances.
