I have bought a tenor uke and wanted to tune it like a violin, so I could try plucking my fiddle tunes on it without needing to relearn everything. (I already pay banjolele by chords).
I have three lower strings tuned to G, D, A but the 4th and highest string clearly isn't going to stretch the distance without wrecking the uke. What other setting might I use to get up to the high E 4th string (that is, ten notes above middle C)?
