Two musical connections with Box Hill;

Piano maker Thomas Broadwood - and uncle, I think, of Lucy Broadwood - bought Juniper Hall in 1815. Broadwood's Folly, the circular flint tower on Lodge Hill, was built as a Waterloo memorial.

In Richard Thompson's song "1952 Vincent Black Lightning", Box Hill is the location which James and Red Molly ride to.
