Yes, I realise that she's ad libbing a lot, and this performance is totally her own, so would not even want to try and replicate it! I was after the melody she's based this version on - not the famous Christy Moore version...

Is the version she sings a alternate trad. melody or was it written by someone we know? as you've suggested above.... Ed McCurdy or John Jacob Niles?
