In my cupboard how many toys.
Dolls and soldiers and sailor boys.
There's Noah's Ark on the top up there
but the nicest of all is my teddy bear.

He sits beside me at lunch and tea.
Comes upstairs into bed with me.
He's not afraid of the dark at night
so we cuddle together so tight, tight, tight.

When Christmas comes and my mom should say,
which of your toys will you give away.
O dear mama you can have all there
but leave me my own little teddy bear.

My teddy bear in his coat of brown
will growl if you turn him upside down.
He growls and growls as if to say
kindly turn me the other way.
I turn him round and I kiss his nose
and dance him about on his tipsy toes.
