I am easily moved to tears by all kinds of music. Tears of elation or deep sorrow.

I well remember in the sixties sobbing into my Edinburgh University scarf while hearing for the first time 'Will Ye Go Lassie Go?' It was at the Edinburgh Folk Club, and I cried so much my scarf was soaking wet when the chap finished singing.

And I can't listen to 'Báidin Fheilimí' (Felimi's Boat) without getting tearful. It seems so sad.' to me when I was very small, and when she got to 'She died of a fever and no-one could save her...' I was bawling my little head off.

To cheer myself up I often play Fat Les's 'Vindaloo' on Youtube. Love that song and the video that goes with it.
