I haven't drunk cider since 1973, after I had a pint of the most terrible stuff ever to pass my lips in a pub called the Gypsy's Tent in Dudley. It was warm, flat, sour and had scum as thick as cream cheese floating on top. The pub is long gone, which has probably saved a number of lives.
