If the one follows the other you could try setting off and running Process Monitor on your machine as you have a warning that it is about to happen. Unless it is coincidence!. It gives a huge amount of info about exactly what is happening. I used to use it when tracking obscure software faults. The sort where the software programmer would say “it can’t possibly be doing X”. Out with the process monitor and the response was “well I appreciate that it can’t possibly do that but have a look at this...”

Sneaky, I know. It does produce a LOT of info but would tell you exactly what we’re the last things that happened

If you leave the machine alone for an indeterminate amount of time does it recover? The one thing I’m not sure is whether a process monitor captures the crash and manages to write to disc before you turn the machine off
