Not sure about recommending food anywhere where they play music - the one which advertised music dancing and meals on the Quays (turn right out of O'Connell Street is not particularly to be reccomended for any of these things
Plenty of places to eat - far more than I can ever remember (Brother Hubbards, The Cedar Tree, The Knossos... Sammy Chung's does a fair buffet), quite a few good Indian restaurants in the Dame Street area) - no music
No food, but O'Donoghue's in Merrion Row has a nice relaxed afternoon music session on Fridays - you could take them to the Irish Traditional Music Archive whic is within walking distance in Merrion Square
